Amazing illustrations from Asia are getting together.
Maybe the best asian illustrators portal I've ever seen. Highly recommended!
Lots of good shit.
A tremedously rich source of articles and links to artists either working in Asia or of Asian descent living elsewhere.
If you like the mix on Lines and Colors, and Drawn!, I think you'll appreciate the nice stwe of styles , genre and approaches in contemporary Asian art that the blogs' creators, Josef Lee and Sam Lay. are constantly cooking up.
Kinda like Drawn! but focusing on one continent where alot of exciting things are happening.
A great site for keeping up with new artists in Asia. I have been blown away by the quality and diversity of style of the artists they feature.
Lovely stuff
This is seriously the place to visit if you have any remotest interest in art and illustration.
an Asian drawing portal that seriously rocks

The Pepper Project

Artgerm & Imaginary Friends Studios from Singapore, is proud to announce THE PEPPER PROJECT, the first artbook dedicated to the sexy and enigmatic muse, Pepper and her friend Wanda. The book will feature Artgerm’s Pepper pieces including many never before seen Pepper pieces specially created for this volume. The book will also feature some Pepper and Wanda art by some of the industry’s top artists as well as Pepper pieces done by fans and friends.

What is ‘The Pepper Project’?
—————————————-

Pepper, that indescribable girl in red was created by Artgerm five years ago as a recurring subject for him to experiment with drawing and illustration styles. From Nagel-esque vectors to Ashley Wood-ish brush strokes to cartoony 2 dimensional peppers and photorealistic peppers, the range of possibilities continues to grow. As Artgerm continued to experiment, he noticed that Pepper had, in the process, gained a few fans who started doing their own Pepper pieces to express their own individual art styles. These fan variations were again as diverse as the fans themselves sometimes with the only common elements being Pepper’s fiery red palette, her headphones and nothing else!

In celebration of this, The Pepper Project will include some of the best Pepper artwork around by both Artgerm and the fans. Now calling for entries, and you are allowed to submit as many different entries as you like with no entry fee required. The artist of each published entry in ‘The Pepper Project’ will receive one complimentary copy of the book and a few goodies.

Download the Submission Guide and Entry Form here, and checkout the rest of the entries in the deviantART gallery.
