Amazing illustrations from Asia are getting together.
Maybe the best asian illustrators portal I've ever seen. Highly recommended!
Lots of good shit.
A tremedously rich source of articles and links to artists either working in Asia or of Asian descent living elsewhere.
If you like the mix on Lines and Colors, and Drawn!, I think you'll appreciate the nice stwe of styles , genre and approaches in contemporary Asian art that the blogs' creators, Josef Lee and Sam Lay. are constantly cooking up.
Kinda like Drawn! but focusing on one continent where alot of exciting things are happening.
A great site for keeping up with new artists in Asia. I have been blown away by the quality and diversity of style of the artists they feature.
Lovely stuff
This is seriously the place to visit if you have any remotest interest in art and illustration.
an Asian drawing portal that seriously rocks

Miss Hua Exhibition in Penang, 19 & 20 September: A Journey to Nanyang - Dance with the Flowers
Writing by Jay Lim on 06 Aug 2008 2:31 AM
Miss Hua Exhibition

JayLim reveals his first signature style, Miss Hua – the fictional character of a young woman based on the Shanghai 50’s era. On 19th and 20th September 2008, JayLim will travel up north to Penang’s Han Chiang College for his second solo exhibition entitled A Journey to Nanyang – Dance with the Flowers.

The upcoming exhibition is part of a cross-cultural project with a group of other talented artists from Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan. The designers are Nakanari, Josef Lee, Muid Latif, Urban-Cr3atures and Fusionwave. The land of Malaysia has always been the perfect place to learn and practice the traditions, the customs and the languages.

Even the cultural heritage that we see still standing along Petaling Street and Jalan Mesui, for example, is an integral link between the past and the future that continuously shape our perspective and understanding of the present world. JayLim’s latest creation truly echoes one important mission – to preserve one’s culture whether it be in the form of speaking the dialect, practicing the protocols, taking care of the buildings or appreciating art. “There is a huge following in western culture and modern living, and this situation will have an effect on the identity of a country, or a person,” said JayLim. He believes that it is through design that he can pass the message on to the general audience.

At the exhibition we will share the stories of the designers and their experiences in the ever-demanding creative industry through keynote speakers Mr. Lim Chun-Woei from Han Chiang College, Muid Latif (creative director and founder of DMP), Luk Chee Chew from Fusionwave and JayLim himself.

The exhibition will also see the differences in styles and perspectives through poster presentations. - more - Details of events: Pre Party (invite-only) 6th September 2008, 4pm – 7pm Flora Art & Design House Address: No. 16-G, Jalan Puteri 5/1, Bandar Puteri, 47100 Puchong, Selangor.
