Kristina Collantes is only 21 years old but her work has already been featured in many exhibition shows, books, and websites. She makes patterns based on her interpretations and finish them with vibrant pastel colors that make you forget that some of the patterns are about Capilliaries (blood vessels in your body) or Skulls.

Her t-shirt designs reflect both her detailed patterns and surreal illustrations. Her clients include Maomao Publications, GQ Magazine (UK) , Victionary, and Oilily Creative Fusionto name a few.

Every year Preview magazine, Philippines makes a creative "it" list of who they think are the top 24 up and coming young artists and creatives in the country.

This year, one of our favorite illustrators- Mary Ann Licudine A.K.A. MALL made it to that list.

MALL is a children's book illustrator and visual artist from La Union, Philippines. This University of the Philippines Fine Arts graduate and Noma Concours Prize winner has been extremely busy as of late and has been doing some animation work for Holy Cow Animation

“I began to realize the beauty of drawing faces. I remembered the sense of joy I felt at my first drawing of a woman's face (a Miss Universe contestant). The thrill of being able to render her likeness, albeit a rough one, was intense for me. The paper and pencil became my best friends. From then on, I never stopped drawing. I tried drawing nature as well, but I it didn't give me the same sense of gratification that drawing faces did.”  - Noel Cruz

Noel Cruz is a 47 year old Filipino Painter based in California. He is gaining a lot of attention from various blog sites for his hand painted life like celebrity dolls. Cruz strips off all the factory paint on the dolls and carefully hand paint them to look like celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, Kristen Dunst, Jhonny Depp, Nicole Kidman, Tobey Maguire and may others. 

Noel's new pieces of canvas are just as challenging as any other canvas as he says on his deviantArt page: "Repaint is a new form of pop art, wherein the doll's face is treated like a three dimensional canvas, with the added challenge of painting within a very small area . Since dolls are basically miniature pieces, brush strokes and shading have to be very controlled and precise."

Just last month, he had just sold an amount of $4,300.00 on eBay Auction for an Anglina Jolie doll to an undisclosed auctioner. His incredible eye for detail and his amount of passion for his work is fantastic and definitely there will be a lot more dolls to be repainted and sold by this talented man. 

Isabel or Pepper Roxas, which most people know her by, is a humble young illustrator/graphic designer who's works have graced a lot of children's book, magazines, exhibitions, shops, toys, and recently - ice cream tubs for Magnolia. She have a new studio located in Pasay cor. Makati Avenue called Studio Roxas where she sells all her merhcandise like notepads, notebooks, post cards, and more. 

Currently she is a member of the INK (Illustrador ng Kabataan) which is a group of talented children's book illustrators and is now based in New York City to further her studies.

Kei is not your typical 24 year old pink-loving girl, yes she is pretty but there's more to her than being girly and fun. Her illustrations have been widely recoginized around the world and was able to have some of her illustrations published through  Ballistic Publishing’s Exotique 4 and Udon’s Street Fighter Tribute Artbook.
