Amazing illustrations from Asia are getting together.
Maybe the best asian illustrators portal I've ever seen. Highly recommended!
Lots of good shit.
A tremedously rich source of articles and links to artists either working in Asia or of Asian descent living elsewhere.
If you like the mix on Lines and Colors, and Drawn!, I think you'll appreciate the nice stwe of styles , genre and approaches in contemporary Asian art that the blogs' creators, Josef Lee and Sam Lay. are constantly cooking up.
Kinda like Drawn! but focusing on one continent where alot of exciting things are happening.
A great site for keeping up with new artists in Asia. I have been blown away by the quality and diversity of style of the artists they feature.
Lovely stuff
This is seriously the place to visit if you have any remotest interest in art and illustration.
an Asian drawing portal that seriously rocks

More of Yoswadi Krutkolm
Yos [or Yoswadi Krutkolm] is now residing in New York. Having graduated from Savannah College of Art & Design with a Master of Art in Illustration, she is now fully equipped and ready to face the world. Is she really ready? I think she is. And again I caught sight of her drawings and sketches on her Facebook, so I couldn''t help but showcase some of her artwork here. Anyway, she has put up a website and here it is: http://studentpages.scad.edu/~ykrutk20/index.html.

I wish her all the best in whatever she is doing right now. You can find my previous post on her @ http://www.startdrawing.org/browse/article/yoswadi-krutkolm

Yoswadi Krutkolm

Yoswadi Krutkolm, a.k.a. Yos is a Illustration major at Savannah College of Art & Design, and she is also a friend of mine whom I got to know in the library. I was drawn to her style of illustration when I saw her posts on her Facebook. Even though she is still a student she has shown plenty of maturity in her artistic expressions of humans and portraits. I was actually drawn to the simplicity of her lines and her portrayal of human characteristics without covering-up or overly exaggerating. It’s the truth, and telling the truth.

Yos is holding a solo show named "Story of the Story" in which she re-interpreted contemporary Hollywood gossip-magazine idols as laugh-out-loud (lol) characters. The exhibition is held on July 7-21 at the Alexander Hall Gallery (668 Indian St., Savannah, Ga) in Savannah. The reception is on Monday (July 7) from 6-8pm. Do attend the exhibition if you happen to be in Savannah then.

Tell me a little about yourself, about your life?
I liked drawing cartoon on the wall in my house with crayons.  I made my mom upset because she paid a lot for repainting the wall. I attended art school and graduated in 2006. I love illustration and I love to look at other illustrators' works.

Where did you go to school?
I attended Silpakorn University in Thailand and I am still doing my Masters of Arts at Savannah College of Art and Design.

What classes did you study? What is your major?
My major is in Illustration Design. I took Illustration Technique,  Drawing for Illustration and some other illustrator classes. There was one class I really like, it is Graduate Drawing in Painting Department from which I developed my style of drawing. My current summer class is Contemporary Art.

What helped you become the artist you are today?
Akira Horikawa.

What do you hope to become one day?
I want to be a successful illustrator.

Do you intend to stay in the States for a long time?
It depends on whether I find a job.

Who are your influences?
Barry McGee and his wife.

Where do you get your inspiration from?
I get my inspiration from people around me.

What is your most favorite subject to draw? And why
Funny and unique faces of people (strangers).

What inspired you to become an artist?
Myself.

What wisdom could you give us, about being an artist? Do you have any tips you could give?
Keep drawing, and finding your style.

If people would like to contact you, how would you like to be contacted?
Email: yoswadi@hotmail.com

Finally, do you have any of your art work for sale (sketchbook, prints, or anything) for people that like your work can know where and when to buy it?
I am designing my website, but it will probably take a month to finish.

"KAZOOM!!!" "ARKKK!" "SLAMM!!" seem to be the subtitles of the incredibly impact artworks by James Jirat Patradoon.

Born in Bangkok and now living in Sydney, James has been building up his name  as one of the emerging unique talents in Sydney design scene. He learnt to draw from watching too many cartoons and reading too many comic books and it surely show in his works which spread across various mediums, from pencil drawing to screen print.

"I didn’t think I’d ever end up as an illustrator or an artist – I always considered that to be really hedonistic career – but well….here I am." , said James.

Check out more of his masked riders, super villains, explosive substances and other goodies at his website.
